Drew has been involved with ROW since 2001 when he met ROW President, The Rev. Dr. Ben Mathes, at a leadership retreat in Virginia. Since that time Drew has participated in several ROW trips as a volunteer, but has spent the past two years assisting in leading ROW trips to both Honduras and Belize.

With Drew's experience leading and facilitating trips with ROW, he will be able to step into the role as Senior Program Officer with ease. As the SPO, Drew will assist ROW's Executive Administrator in planning and executing ROW programs being run locally and abroad. Drew also spends a great deal of time speaking before groups telling of past ROW trips and trips planned for the future.

An avid sailor and an accomplished outdoorsman, Drew has been involved in operating and directing summer camps since he was a teenager. Because of his background and expertise, Drew has been named the Director of ROW's new youth program; LEAP (Leadership, Exploration, & Adventure Program). LEAP is directed toward engaging today's youth into international leadership, and is held in Belize at ROW's base camp off of Honey Camp Lagoon.

A native of West Virginia and a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, Drew currently resides in Farmville, VA where he spends time volunteering at the local rescue squad and serving as the President of the Hampden-Sydney Volunteer Fire Department.
